Our Mission
Inclusivity
The mission of the Foundation is to strengthen behavioral health in Wyoming through education, research, public awareness, fundraising, and funding opportunities that advances access to care, supports the behavioral health workforce, and builds healthier communities.
The WYBHA Foundation believes every person in Wyoming deserves access to behavioral health care that respects who they are and meets them where they live.
Mental health and substance use challenges touch families throughout Wyoming: ranchers and oil field workers, veterans and young people, tribal communities, and families in our largest towns and our most frontier counties. We welcome and serve people of all races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, ages, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, income levels, and life experiences, including lived experience with mental illness and recovery.
We put this commitment into practice by:
Seeking out and listening to the voices of people and communities most affected by gaps in behavioral health care.
Using respectful, person-first language that reduces stigma around mental health and substance use.
Building a board, staff, volunteer team, and partner network that reflects who we serve.
We know this work is ongoing. We welcome feedback on how we can do better at main@wybhafoundation.org.
